9-45-15 Plant Starter
As the name indicates, MASTERBLEND® 9-45-15 is designed primarily as a plant starter for fertilizing transplants, newly set cuttings, young seedlings, etc. Young plants require high Phosphorus for proper growth; MASTERBLEND’s 9-45-15 low Nitrogen and high Phosphorus fit the needs of young plants very well. This formula can also be used whenever soils indicate the need for elevated Phosphate levels.

When setting plants in the field:
- Dissolve 5 lbs. in 100 gallons of water; for small quantities mix 1 heaping tablespoon per gallon of water.
- Apply 1/2 pint of solution per plant as they are set.
When transplanting tender seedlings in the greenhouse:
Dissolve 1 tablespoon per gallon of water and water thoroughly.
