Here are our recommendations for proper storage and shelf life of Masterblend water-soluble fertilizers.
The best way to store dry Masterblend fertilizer is in an airtight container. Make sure any measuring equipment you use to scoop product is dry, as moisture can find its way into the product this way.
Shelf life of dry fertilizer: If stored properly, the product can last indefinitely. One may find over time, the product will harden. This is caused by components in the mix that naturally want to "combine". Even if the product has hardened, it will maintain its efficacy. It will need to be broken up before attempting to mix it with water.
Shelf life of mixed solution: Once a solution is mixed, we recommend using it within 4-6 weeks. Once the solution is running low, be sure you empty and completely clean the container before mixing a new solution.
